Call for PanelsScholars from any discipline, tenured or non-tenured faculty, or those otherwise affiliated with a recognized research institution, may submit panel proposals to present at the Nineteenth Annual ASMEA Conference. Proposals on topics related to the Middle East and Africa should consist of a one-page summary of new and unpublished research from each presenter. A recent C.V. with all contact data also must be included with name, e-mail, phone number, and affiliation for each presenter. The panel organizer is responsible for gathering and uploading all materials to the online submission portal. A minimum of three presenters and one discussant is required for a panel proposal. Proposals will only be accepted through the online submission portal. Membership is not required to submit a panel proposal but an ASMEA account is required. You can create a free account here. If a proposal is accepted for presentation, all presenters are required to become members of ASMEA and present in-person at the Nineteenth Annual ASMEA Conference in Washington, D.C. on November 7 - 9, 2026. The deadline to submit a paper proposal is May 15, 2026. Submit a Panel ProposalTechnical issues or questions for submitting can be directed to Emily Lucas at [email protected].
