Opportunities are available to teach and conduct research at educational institutions, research centers, and NGOs throughout the Middle East and North Africa Region. Beyond their specific research or teaching objectives, Fulbright Scholars to the region build lasting relationships that serve as the foundation for future collaborations through activities such as curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and public lectures.
With 33 awards in 13 countries, there is a diverse range of opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa, from teaching marine sciences at the University of Haifa in Israel to researching economic development in Kuwait. The country with the largest number of scholar opportunities, Israel, offers 21 grants through three teaching and research awards. All the countries in the region offer All Disciplines awards that are flexible for different types of research and teaching projects.
