To stimulate new and diverse lines of discourse about the Middle East and Africa, ASMEA’s Research Grants Program seeks to support research on topics that deserve greater attention. Grants of $2500 will be awarded to successful applicants. Apply now!
Support to teach individual classes about modern Israel at colleges and universities outside the United States and Israel. All courses supported by this grant must be for credit. Courses can be offered online or in-person.
Grants for Israeli doctoral students, postdocs, spousal appointments, independent scholars or other Israeli academics who already live in the United States and who have unfunded/underfunded research appointments.

The 2024Bernard Lewis Prize is awarded to scholars or practitioners engaged in the study of issues on antisemitism that were of great importance to our founding chairman, Prof. Bernard Lewis. Recipients of the $2,500 prize will be announced and awarded at the Seventeenth Annual ASMEA Conference in Washington, D.C.
